I earlier complained that it is impossible to find any decent ski gear bags in Finland. Finally I ordered a High Sierra 36 inch duffel from U.S. More about that when it arrives here…

How it can be so difficult to find decent bag which would carry all the gear a skier needs? Looking around stores in Helsinki reveals only small duffels or huge sacks without any structure. A good bag should have (at least)

• size (>120 l)
• wheels
• Structure; i.e., couple of separate compartments

Some web surfing reveals that suitable bags would exists such as Salomon’s
The Container 1500 or The North Face’s Rolling Thunder
But where are these sold?

Mountain Dynamics points that both Ski and Skiing magazines have fresh gear selection guides on web. Check them out from here and here, respectively. Especially, the Ski magazine’s version has handy search function.

Looking these makes me wonder if I need new skis for Canada after all. I have tried to convince myself that I can ski this winter with current equipment, but looking new skis is always fun
